A plain guide to what a first-time installer sees on the store pages of FxPro cTrader and cTrader.
Before a first order on a phone there is an install, and the install has steps. This site reads the public store pages of FxPro cTrader and cTrader in Nigeria and writes down what a visitor who is not logged in can see: what the phone must have, how large the download is, the languages, what the description says about a demo and what the developer declared about data. Readings are dated 6 November 2026.

What this site is, and what it leaves alone
Trade App Lagos follows the steps that come before a first order on a phone, using only what the store pages for FxPro cTrader and cTrader show to a visitor who is not logged in. On 6 November 2026 this desk read 2 Google Play pages and 2 App Store pages in Nigeria: what the phone must have, how large the download is, what language the app speaks, what the description says about a demo, and what the developer declared about data. The Google Play pages were read in the Nigeria view (country code NG, English text) and the App Store in the Nigeria storefront.
The desk stayed outside every app. It created no account, supplied no document or phone number, logged in nowhere and traded nothing, so this site has no view of an in-app screen, of the length of an identity check or of what moving money costs. Those belong behind a login; where a page touches them, it says so. The public face of each app, with the day it was read, is what is left, and it is what is reported.
The four listings that were read, one by one
On Google Play the app titled FxPro cTrader is published by FXPRO GROUP LIMITED: 4.4 stars from 3,217 ratings, a download bracket of 100K+, the label Rated for 3+, version 5.11.130, updated 4 November 2026.
On the App Store in Nigeria the app titled FxPro cTrader is published by FxPro Group Limited: 4.3 from 24 ratings, version 5.11.130 published 4 November 2026, 247.4 MB, iOS 15.0 or later, age rating 16+.
On Google Play the app titled cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts is published by Spotware: 4.4 stars from 29,856 ratings, a download bracket of 1M+, the label Rated for 3+, version 5.11.140, updated 2 November 2026.
On the App Store in Nigeria the app titled cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts is published by cTrader Ltd: 4.6 from 311 ratings, version 5.11.150 published 3 November 2026, 252.1 MB, iOS 15.0 or later, age rating 16+.
The sections that follow take them in the order a first-time installer meets them: the phone, the language, the wording about a demo, the update rhythm and the data declaration.
Who is named as the publisher
The listings do not all name one developer. FXPRO GROUP LIMITED is named on FxPro cTrader (Google Play). FxPro Group Limited is named on FxPro cTrader (App Store). Spotware is named on cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play). cTrader Ltd is named on cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store). That is the field under each title: on Google Play the account that published the app, on the App Store the seller. The Play pages also attach links. For the developer website, FxPro cTrader points to fxpro.com and cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts points to ctrader.com; each page also gives a privacy-policy link on fxpro.com and spotware.com. The word FxPro appears in the descriptions 11 times in FxPro cTrader, 11 times in FxPro cTrader, once in cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts and once in cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts.
FxPro publishes a plain text file at www.fxpro.com/llms.txt; read on 6 November 2026, it lists three regulated entities: FxPro UK Limited, FxPro Financial Services Limited and FxPro Global Markets Limited. The same file lists the platforms FxPro supports; of them it names MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and cTrader. A developer name is a distribution label. It is no licence and no statement about who holds client funds; for that, the account documents are the source and the store page is silent.
Ratings: the average and the count under it
FxPro cTrader on Google Play: 4.4 in the header from 3,217 ratings; 2,328 of the ratings in the split are five-star (74%) and 153 one-star (5%). FxPro cTrader on the App Store: 4.3 from 24 ratings; 14 five-star (58%) and 1 one-star (4%). cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on Google Play: 4.4 in the header from 29,856 ratings; 19,723 of the ratings in the split are five-star (66%) and 1,229 one-star (4%). cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store: 4.6 from 311 ratings; 229 five-star (74%) and 8 one-star (3%).
The count under an average decides how firm it is. FxPro cTrader (App Store) rests on 24 ratings, so one more five-star or one-star rating moves its average by at most 0.2083 of a star; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play) rests on 29,856, where the same single rating moves it by at most 0.0001675. That is arithmetic, not a view on either app.
How recently each page was updated
FxPro cTrader (Google Play) shows version 5.11.130, updated 4 November 2026, 2 days before the reading; FxPro cTrader (App Store) shows version 5.11.130, updated 4 November 2026, 2 days before the reading; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play) shows version 5.11.140, updated 2 November 2026, 4 days before the reading; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store) shows version 5.11.150, updated 3 November 2026, 3 days before the reading.
The App Store goes further and lets anyone open a version history. For FxPro cTrader it lists 25 versions between 23 December 2025 and 4 November 2026, a median of 12 days between one version and the next and a longest gap of 34 days.
Play shows no history on its public page: only the version in force and its date. For that reason no Play history appears here. Pinning a statement to a version number is the simple way of saying which build it describes, and each figure on this site is dated for the same reason.
What the phone needs
FxPro cTrader on Google Play: Android 10 or later (API 29), 100K+ downloads, Rated for 3+, FxPro cTrader on the App Store: 247.4 MB, Requires iOS 15.0 or later, English and 22 more, age rating 16+, cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on Google Play: Android 10 or later (API 29), 1M+ downloads, Rated for 3+ and cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store: 252.1 MB, Requires iOS 15.0 or later, English and 22 more, age rating 16+. The Play web pages read here do not show a download size, so this site has no size for the Play listings and does not estimate one. The system line is the developer's statement of the oldest version of the phone's software the build runs on; the pages do not say how the app behaves on older software, and a figure here is a requirement, not a promise that the app will run well.
What the descriptions say the apps are
FxPro cTrader (Google Play) opens: “The FxPro cTrader App brings the stunning trading platform to your mobile. (Trade Responsibly. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You...” FxPro cTrader (App Store) opens: “The FxPro cTrader App brings the stunning trading platform to your mobile. (Trade Responsibly. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. You...” cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play) opens: “The cTrader mobile app supports trading in forex, metals, oil, indices, stocks and ETFs.” cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store) opens: “The cTrader mobile app supports trading in forex, metals, oil, indices, stocks and ETFs.”
Everything in quotation marks above is the developer's text, unaltered. A difference between two descriptions is recorded here once, in plain words, and left unresolved; Ctrl+F on the store pages lets a reader check it.
What the descriptions list as features
Most descriptions carry a list of short feature lines. They are the developer's own marketing words and are quoted here as printed, without testing: FxPro cTrader (Google Play) lists “Single cTID login for convenient account switching”; “Advanced charting tools”; “5 chart types with 26 timeframes”; “57 technical indicators”; “Single-tap order execution”; “Custom watchlists”; “Integrated targets from trading central”. FxPro cTrader (App Store) lists “Single cTID login for convenient account switching”; “Advanced charting tools”; “5 chart types with 26 timeframes”; “57 technical indicators”; “Single-tap order execution”; “Custom watchlists”; “Integrated targets from trading central”. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play) lists “Detailed symbol information helps you understand the assets you are trading”; “Symbol trading sessions show you when each market is open or closed”; “Integrated market news keeps you informed about events that may affect your trading”; “Fluid, responsive charts and QuickTrade mode allow for one-tap order execution”; “Market sentiment indicators show how other traders are positioned”; “Multiple chart types, including time-based, tick, Renko, range and Heikin-Ashi”; “Several chart views such as candlesticks, bar, line, dots and area charts”. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store) lists “Detailed symbol information helps you understand the assets you are trading”; “Symbol trading sessions show you when each market is open or closed”; “Integrated market news keeps you informed about events that may affect your trading”; “Fluid, responsive charts and QuickTrade mode allow for one-tap order execution”; “Market sentiment indicators show how other traders are positioned”; “Multiple chart types, including time-based, tick, Renko, range and Heikin-Ashi”; “Several chart views such as candlesticks, bar, line, dots and area charts”.
A feature list on a store page records the developer's choice of emphasis and nothing more: it is untested, and silence about a feature proves nothing. Availability to a client in Nigeria is a question for the account, visible only behind the login.
Where the listings differ
The age or content label is not the same on every page: Rated for 3+: FxPro cTrader (Google Play) and cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play); App Store 16+: FxPro cTrader (App Store) and cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store). Versions on the day of reading: 5.11.130: FxPro cTrader (Google Play) and FxPro cTrader (App Store); 5.11.140: cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play); 5.11.150: cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store).
Each difference is a difference between two pages on the day they were read. It is listed once, the pages leave it unexplained, and no explanation is offered here.
The update dates, oldest first
2 November 2026: cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play), version 5.11.140; 3 November 2026: cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store), version 5.11.150; 4 November 2026: FxPro cTrader (Google Play), version 5.11.130; 4 November 2026: FxPro cTrader (App Store), version 5.11.130.
The oldest of these dates is 4 days before the reading and the newest 2 days before it. A page that was updated long ago is not necessarily neglected and one updated yesterday is not necessarily better; the date is the only thing the page states.
What the data declarations show
Both stores ask the developer to declare what the app does with data and print the answer on the public page. The Google Play block of FxPro cTrader says: “This app may share these data types with third parties”; “This app may collect these data types”; “Data is encrypted in transit”; “You can request that data be deleted”. The Google Play block of cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts says: “This app may share these data types with third parties”; “This app may collect these data types”; “Data is encrypted in transit”; “You can request that data be deleted”. The App Store privacy label of FxPro cTrader lists data not linked to you: Contact Info, Identifiers, Diagnostics. The App Store privacy label of cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts lists data not linked to you: Contact Info, Identifiers, Diagnostics.
What precedes is declared by the developers. Google adds, on its own block, “The developer provided this information and may update it over time.” The data page quotes the declarations in full; weighing them is left to the reader.
What could not be read, and why it matters
The broker's own help pages could not be read from the server this site reads from: its front page, FAQ and About page answered HTTP 403 on 6 November 2026, and nothing further was asked of that host. A step-by-step account of opening an account, of an identity check or of a first deposit would need those pages, or an account, and this site has neither; it therefore does not describe those steps. None of the descriptions read mentions a Nigerian bank transfer or payment provider, so this site has nothing to report about funding in that form; a reader who wants it has to ask the broker for the funding methods open to residents of Nigeria.
A reader in Nigeria should hold two things apart. The store page describes the software that goes onto the phone. The account documents, which the broker alone can show, describe what an account costs in naira. Both are needed, in that order.
What a reader can check without logging in
Everything above can be repeated without an account. Before installing, read the system line against the phone you own, read the size against the room you have, search the description for the word demo, and read the data block. These four checks take a few minutes and none of them needs a document or a payment.
What this site does not say
Which app is better is not something this site says, because the pages hold nothing to answer it. There is no ranking, scoring or recommendation. A rating is reported, not certified: Google Play prints “Ratings and reviews are verified” beside its ratings, and the label is repeated here without a test. Nor is any app called safe or unsafe, a declaration being no audit, and nothing here is investment advice: contracts for difference are complex products traded on margin, and money can be lost quickly.

An app listing is not an account
Everything on this site stops at the store page. The step after it, a live account, comes with identity checks and terms that sit outside any app. The broker page is the place to read about it first, and only money you can afford to lose should ever be at risk.
