Who publishes the listing, and under what name

A store listing carries one line that most readers skip: the developer name under the title. On 6 November 2026 this desk read it on 4 pages of FxPro cTrader and cTrader in Nigeria. This page sets them side by side with the identifiers, links and dates the pages give, and then reports what a search for “fxpro” returns in the Nigeria App Store. It states only what the pages show.
The listings and the names they give

What the developer line is, and what it is not
A developer name answers a narrow question: under which account is this app distributed here? It does not answer who built the software, who runs the servers, who regulates the service or who is on the other side of a trade. Those questions belong to documents that are not public store pages.
On 6 November 2026 the lines read: FxPro cTrader (Google Play): FXPRO GROUP LIMITED. FxPro cTrader (App Store): FxPro Group Limited. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play): Spotware. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store): cTrader Ltd. The listings carry 4 different developer names. The pages do not explain how the names relate.
The identifiers behind the titles
A title can be copied; an identifier cannot be copied inside one store. Google Play pages carry a package name and the App Store a bundle identifier and a numeric id in the address. As read: FxPro cTrader (Google Play): com.fxproctrader.ct. FxPro cTrader (App Store): com.fxproctrader.ct, numeric id 838925664. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play): com.spotware.ct. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store): com.spotware.ct, numeric id 767428811.
Titles are cheap to copy and identifiers are not, inside one store. That is why the identifier, not the title, is what to compare when returning to a page: ordering and titles move, the identifier stays put, including when a storefront does not list an entry that another one does.
What the descriptions say about the company
Some descriptions name the company behind the app in their own text. Quoted as printed: FxPro cTrader (Google Play): “FxPro UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (registration no. 509956).” “FxPro Global Markets Ltd is authorised and regulated by the SCB (license no. SIA-F184).” FxPro cTrader (App Store): “FxPro UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (registration no. 509956).” “FxPro Global Markets Ltd is authorised and regulated by the SCB (license no. SIA-F184).”
The passage is a claim made by the developer on a store page. No register was consulted; a reader can set it against the account documents.
The links the developer gives
A Play page lets the developer attach a website, an e-mail address and a privacy-policy link. FxPro cTrader gives a website on fxpro.com, an address at spotware.com and a privacy policy on fxpro.com. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts gives a website on ctrader.com, an address at spotware.com and a privacy policy on spotware.com. FxPro cTrader on the App Store names a seller website on fxpro.com. cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts on the App Store names a seller website on ctrader.com.
The App Store's Information block adds a copyright line: “© 2026 Spotware Systems” for FxPro cTrader and “© 2024 Spotware Systems Ltd.” for cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts. A copyright line is a claim about who owns the app's text and images; it is not the name of the firm that holds an account.
Developer links can be set against the broker's own address, fxpro.com; they are public and the comparison costs nothing.
What the descriptions emphasise
The description each listing gives of itself, as read on 6 November 2026, can be counted with a substring match and nothing cleverer, so anyone can repeat it. The result: FxPro cTrader (Google Play) uses a form of the word trade 10 times, mentions a demo 0 times and deposits, funds or withdrawals 0 times; FxPro cTrader (App Store) uses a form of the word trade 9 times, mentions a demo 0 times and deposits, funds or withdrawals 0 times; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (Google Play) uses a form of the word trade 22 times, mentions a demo 0 times and deposits, funds or withdrawals 0 times; cTrader: CFD Trading & Charts (App Store) uses a form of the word trade 22 times, mentions a demo 0 times and deposits, funds or withdrawals 0 times.
The counts are a way of making a long text comparable. They say what a page talks about, not what the app does when it is opened.
A search for “fxpro” in the Nigeria App Store
On 6 November 2026 the public App Store search for “fxpro” in the Nigeria storefront gave 22 results; 3 carry FxPro in the title (the “Fx PRO” spelling counted) and 1 of them is published under a developer name other than the two used by FxPro's own listings. The names are not given: a different developer name describes a listing, not a company, and the query is open to anyone.
A brand name typed into a store search finds every title that contains it, brand-owned or not. That is why the developer line matters, and why the identifier is the way back to the page that was read.
A routine a reader can repeat
A short check: open the page from a trusted link; read the developer name and, if it is not the one you expected under a brand title, compare it with your account documents; note the identifier, the update date and the rating with its count; read the privacy block as a declaration. No account, document or payment is involved, and the check says which listing you have in front of you and nothing about suitability.

An app listing is not an account
Everything on this site stops at the store page. The step after it, a live account, comes with identity checks and terms that sit outside any app. The broker page is the place to read about it first, and only money you can afford to lose should ever be at risk.
